Treatment: Six rounds of integrated anti-tumor therapies, based on stem cell treatment
HISTORY
Ms. Lee was 83-years-old when she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She came to the Stem Cell Center of Puhua International Hospital for treatment in December 2009.
In October 2007, she presented with irregular vaginal hemorrhage without apparent cause. Later, she was diagnosed and confirmed to have cervical cancer. After routine radiation therapy, the cancer was not controlled, and she relapsed. Metastases in the lungs, lymph nodes and the rectum. Her condition became grade Ⅳ, accompanied with fever and a severe cough.
Medical condition before Stem Cell Treatment (SCT)
The PET/CT scan showed that there was a space-occupying lesion at the cervix, consistent with the previous diagnosis of cervical cancer. Multiple space-occupying lesions in the lung were multiple metastases. Multiple lymph node metastases could be found nearby the internal iliac vessels, retroperitoneal, and in the left supraclavicular fossa. When admitted to hospital, she was fatigued, with a poor appetite, accompanied with severe intermittent cough, especially at night. As a result, her sleeping quality was poor. She occasionally had pain in her waist and abdomen.
Diagnosis
Cervical Cancer, disseminated
Treatment
She received a total of six integrated anti-tumor therapies, based on Stem Cell Treatment (SCT).
Medical condition before Stem Cell Treatment (SCT)
Following treatment, the severe cough and fever ceased. Her appetite returned to normal. Her fatigue reversed. She had more energy than before. The pain in her waist and abdomen was relieved, and her sleeping quality improved. Her bowel and bladder functions were normal.
Follow Up
In February 2010, she underwent a re-examination. The thoracic CT scan showed that the thoracic tumors were apparently fewer and smaller. The Stem Cell Therapy protocol was considered as highly effective initial treatment for this case of disseminated cervical cancer.
Pre stem cell treatment scan
After stem cell treatment for cervical cancer, the matestatic tumor in her thoracic region were apparently lessened and became smaller.
