HISTORY

Patient Chua Kah Wei was a 25 months old (Chinese) boy, at the time he was admitted to Puhua International Hospital on December 6th 2010. He suffered from Cerebral Palsy (CP) caused by brain damage during delivery/childbirth. The umbilical cord had twisted around his neck, which led to his anoxic brain damage

After one month of stem cell treatment for Cerebral Palsy, Patient Chua Kah Wei was discharged on January 5th 2011.

Medical condition before Stem Cell Treatment (SCT) for Cerebral Palsy

When he arrived, Patient Chua Kah Wei was in poor condition. He could not sit steadily, and he had difficulty in sitting up and turning his body over unassisted.  When he was irritated, his muscle tone was high. With rather limited mobility/range of motion, he couldn’t execute simple physical activities.

Stem Cell Treatment (SCT) for Cerebral Palsy

Injections of neural stem cells via lumbar puncture, self stem cell activation treatment, antibiotics

Medical condition after Stem Cell Treatment (SCT) for Cerebral Palsy

After one month of stem cell treatment combined with rehabilitation therapy, improvements were noted in this young patient. His muscle tone decreased from 4/5 to 3/5, which contributed significantly to his increasing mobility.  Some basic modes of activity mode had been established prior to his discharge.
