HISTORY

In April 2004, Patient Manfred Zimny was noted to have tremors of the left lower arm. By August 2004, he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

Before coming to Puhua International Hospital for Stem Cell Therapy (SCT), Patient Manfred Zimny had been taking four kinds of medicine. However, he didn’t feel that he received much benefit from these medications (except perhaps a mild reduction in the tremors). He had tried very hard to not let his disease affect the quality of his life. Although he managed to take care of himself, his movements were very slow. He was very dis-satisfied with this life style of slowness, rigidity and tremors.

Medical Condition before Stem Cell Treatment (SCT) for Parkinson’s Disease (PD)

At admission to Puhua International Hospital, Patient Manfred Zimny was suffering severe tremors on the right lower arm, which annoyed him greatly.

As a side effect of his medications, Manfred would tend to suffer night sweats, and also and dyskinesia (unpleasant sensations) on the left side of his body.

Stem Cell Treatment (SCT) for Parkinson’s Disease (PD)

Stem cell implantation via left frontal stereotactic procedure, activation of neural cells via a daily supply of neurotrophic factors, daily physical therapy and occupational therapy, Chinese Traditional Medicine via acupuncture therapy.

Medical Condition before Stem Cell Treatment (SCT) for Parkinson’s Disease (PD)

After stem cell implantation via a stereotactic procedure for Parkinson Disease, Patient Manfred Zimny’s tremors of the right hand were largely alleviated. He said that he felt like dancing to celebrate his response, which was almost immediate.

It is now much easier for this patient to conduct his daily activities. It is hoped and expected that the stem cell therapy will continue to bring Patient Manfred Zimny more benefits in the future, and all involved are looking forward to hearing more exciting progress from this lovely and optimistic man.
