Puhua-Aizawa Rehabilitation Center

The Rehabilitation Department of Beijing Puhua International Hospital is equipped with advanced equipment and completely modern treatment methods. The Rehabilitation Department has a professional rehabilitation hall equipped with an exercise therapy area, an occupational therapy area, a physical therapy treatment area and a speech therapy and rehabilitation treatment area for children. The department also has professional and advanced rehabilitation equipment. Rehabilitation Department comprises an impeccable modern rehabilitation treatment center including medical physical therapy, modern rehabilitation sport therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, swallowing therapy and other rehabilitation evaluation and technology.

On March 22, 2015, BPIH formally signed with the Japanese Aizawa Hospital, establishing the “Puhua Aizawa Rehabilitation Center.” The establishment of the Center brings the best Japanese model of advanced recovery technology and management to Beijing Puhua International Hospital.


The Rehabilitation Department adopts various technologies to carry out rehabilitation evaluation for many diseases. Comprehensive rehabilitation therapy training can greatly improve and consolidate the effects of treatment, improving and recovering functions previously lost to disease. The Center’s goal is to maximize each patient’s function, improve their ability for independent living. This will help to ease any burden on patients and their families by improving patient quality of life and eventually achieving the ultimate goal of patients’ return to their fullest possible function.

Therapist Dai was graduated from Yancheng health vocational and technical college, engaged in neurological rehabilitation work for 8 years, with rich clinical experiences. In 2013, she was sent to visit and study in the rehabilitation department of Japanese Aizawa hospital. In 2019, she studied in China rehabilitation research center.

She specialized in neurological rehabilitation treatment of cerebrovascular disease, craniocerebral injury, spinal cord injury, rehabilitation evaluation and treatment of adult aphasia, swallowing disorder, dysarthria, language retardation in children, and dysarthria in children.

Senior Therapist

He graduated from HeTao University of Inner Mongolia, and now working in rehabilitation department of Beijing Puhua International Hospital. He is skilled at PT OT nerve rehabilitation, postoperative rehabilitation of orthopedics, and myofemoral rehabilitation (periarthritis of shoulder). He can use motor cognitive therapy for the patient, such as Maitland TMS to treat patients. 

He has obtained the international primary certification and completion certificate of CTE (cognitive movement therapy) in neural rehabilitation, and he has received guidance and comments from domestic and foreign rehabilitation experts for many times.


Chief Therapist

Dr. Otsuka worked at the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center of Aizawa Hospital since 1999, where he was in charge of rehabilitation treatment of stroke patients. After that he was appointed as Minister in Physical Therapy of Stroke Department, where he was mainly responsible for clinical and organizational management. In 2011 he was appointed as Assistant to the Dean, in charge of the management of 130 hospital-based rehabilitation therapists. Dr. Isao Otsuka was also responsible for the organization, management and operation the Rehabilitation Department, as well as teaching the principles of stroke rehabilitation treatment in various Japanese hospitals. He was appointed as Chief Therapist of Aizawa Hospital in 2015.

Treatment Modalities

The Rehabilitation Department at Beijing Puhua International Hospital works in concert with the Stem Cell Treatment Center and the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) team to provide an optimized and personally tailored package for every single patient.
