Yousuf could not speak and can only makes sounds like ‘hum, ah.’ He had blink reflex when hearing sounds, but no obvious visual tracking. He smiled sometimes when hearing relatives’ voices. Muscle tension was high in all extremities. Modest spontaneous lift movements could be seen in four limbs. The patient showed avoidance response to painful stimuli.
